Don’t know how this happened but it has!!
I was nominated for a BBC ‘Make a Difference’ award by one of our members & volunteers for Calon Adhd Project CAP-CIC
Bless her heart..I am humbled and so grateful ..as sitting amongst so many amazing inspirational people up in Cardiff yesterday and being told I was one of them was mind blowing !!!
Then when my name was called as The winner of our category..
I was literally stuck for words..such emotion!!
Id like to give so much gratitude to my family Leo,Lilah( Hope Parry ) & Zion ,my daughter Cassie Anne Parry’s children who I dedicated this project to as a legacy and of whom Cassie their mum is the namesake and inspiration..
I cant bring Cassie back but I can try to help as many families as possible to not feel isolated and misunderstood. My grandchildren have fully supported me from the start, putting up with me stressing over behind the scenes funding bids as tech is definitely not my forte !
Gratitude to my son Ross Parry-Matthews for his support at events with his Graffiti art workshops & his beautiful wife Rae Parry Matthews for her wellbeing sessions, my daughter Kizzi Parry , my friends for their support and listening ears..you know who you are ! ,Directors David Simpson for the accounts and being a calm voice on the end of the phone and Ben Room ,all the members and families especially Ceriann Dowdell for volunteering at events ,spreading the word and being such a positive asset to Calon and Sam Rowntree for volunteering,facilitating art/ craft/ nature projects,being on the end of the phone ,also being such a positive assett & helping provide us with The Hide Brynmill Park …
All our facilitators..too many to mention and I wouldn’t want to leave anyone out ,food providers especially Dillys Kitchen and anyone else who has ever been involved with us in any way !
For all our funding providers Coast,Swansea Council,Welsh Government as without the funding I wouldn’t be able to offer Free sessions to those in need!
